On March 23, Bybit CEO Ben Zhou hosted a live YouTube AMA in collaboration with the Coin Telegraph. In the broadcast, Ben announced some of the exciting new features Bybit have in the bag, including the USDT perpetual contract.
As explained in the video, the USDT perpetual contract will be available in trading pairs with the existing assets available on Bybit (BTC, ETH, EOS and XRP), and enable traders to hedge their positions by holding long and short positions simultaneously. Giving traders more flexibility in being able to manage their portfolios, the USDT perpetual contract is released on March 25.
Elsewhere in the video, Ben revealed plans for contract insurance and the strategy alert and new order system, two new features coming to Bybit very soon.
Initially for BTCUSD perpetual contracts (with other contracts being added in later versions), contract insurance will allow traders to insure themselves against the eventuality of the market going against their positions (long or short).
The new strategy alert and new order system will allow traders to set up indicators on price charts on the Bybit mobile app, and receive alerts to their phone if it is triggered by a price movement.
Ben also revealed a new dark mode UI and frontend architecture to reduce lag, all part of our dedication to improve the trading experience on the platform.
