Bybit’s Official Statement Regarding the Platform Incident on 24 Dec 2019

On December 24, 2019, at UTC 00:07, we received feedback with regards to a login failure issue from some of our clients. The Bybit team immediately initiated emergency procedures to identify the root cause of the issue. It was soon identified as the occurrence of an abnormality on our AWS servers, causing some of our users difficulties in logging in and the inability to place, amend or cancel orders inside the Bybit platform. Please also be notified that this issue neither affected orders that were previously placed before 00:07 UTC nor the continuous operation of the platform’s order matching engine.

Upon identifying this issue, the Bybit team immediately performed the switch to our backup servers and is now fully restored and operational as of 24th Dec 2019 00:40 UTC. All users can now perform trading activities normally on the Bybit platform.

Bybit values your feedback and put the users’ trading experience first and foremost. If you still have any further concerns, please contact our online customer support at https://bit.ly/2QNjZ8i or send an email to support@bybit.com. Thank you and sorry for any inconvenience caused.
