Talk shows have been around since the earliest days of television. Popular talk shows include the likes of The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Ellen Degeneres Show, The Tonight Show hosted by stalwarts Johnny Carson, Jay Leno, and till recently, Jimmy Fallon. The talk show medium has always been a hit among audiences worldwide as people could not only listen to but also see their favorite personalities onscreen.
Fast forward to the current information age that we live in, television, while still an essential medium, has taken a back seat. Platforms such as YouTube, Vimeo, Dailymotion, and even Facebook are the more popular mediums used globally by tech-savvy individuals seeking information, educational content, or just good old-fashioned entertainment.
Here at Bybit, we believe that sometimes, the best way to obtain and retain information quickly and concisely is through a visual medium as compared to the written medium (and yes, the irony is not lost on us with this article). In conjunction with the inaugural World Series of Trading (WSOT) – Powered by Bybit, we present our latest offering to you:
THE WSOT SHOW
The WSOT Show was created to give participants, traders, and crypto-enthusiasts an insight into the world of competitive cryptocurrency trading. Topics up for discussion include trading strategies, cryptocurrency price movements, technical analysis, why they prefer trading on Bybit, and much more. Viewers also get a chance to learn more about the various team captains spearheading their troops’ charge to reach the top of the leaderboards for WSOT’s BTC Troop Showdown, where participants stand to win from a prize pool of up to 150 BTC!
Hosted by renowned personalities in the crypto-space – Tone Vays and Luke Martin will alternate as they each host troop captains on the show throughout the WSOT competition. Viewers familiar with the cryptocurrency industry will be excited to see some household names such as The Moon Carl, Crypto Crow, Crypto Face, and many more lined up to feature on The WSOT Show.
Another unique offering unprecedented in the cryptocurrency industry is the newly formed collaboration between Bybit and PokerShares.com, which will allow users to bet on the different teams competing in WSOT. Poker superstars Douglas Polk and Mike McDonald, who have combined live poker winnings of over US$22 million, will also feature on the show as special guests.
You can catch all of The WSOT Show clips on Bybit’s Twitter Channel.
